The Role of a Neighbor

The Ogress and the Orphans delves into the “big question” of what really makes someone a neighbor, especially a good neighbor.

This novel is set in the village of Stone-in-the-Glen, which was once a lovely town with people who cared for each other. When a dragon burns down some important buildings – including the Library – the people find themselves withdrawing because of their new Mayor's warnings. What the people fail to realize is that the Mayor is an evil dragon in disguise and his warnings are meant to manipulate the villagers into doing only what the Mayor wants. The Mayor lives in the town among the villagers, but he never understands the benefits of being a good neighbor.
