Summary

In Chapter 17, Merilee drove to Wade’s construction site to ask if he would be willing to attend the gala with her. He suggested it was a date but she balked at that suggestion. He agreed to go, despite that fact he would be expected to sit at the table with Heather and Daniel.

Even though Merilee had agreed to help Daniel pick out an anniversary gift for Heather, Merilee was still startled when Daniel arrived at the store asking for her.
