Summary

Chapter 61 takes the form of a police transcript, in which a remorseful Mimi explains that after witnessing the confrontation between Zach and Tallulah, she overheard what happened next. Mimi pretended to be asleep, and later pocketed the ring that Zach had thrown across the room. She was reluctant to incriminate Scarlett, and hoped the truth would come to light without her evidence, but eventually she told Lexie what she had heard and gave her the ring. Lexie informed her that Scarlett, Joss and Rex were travelling around the world, and they wanted to keep a low profile because they were hiding from Scarlett’s violent father.

In Chapter 62, Scarlett and Joss persuade Tallulah that she killed Zach, and that she is their prisoner for her own safety. They are planning to fly to Guernsey, passing Tallulah off as Rex’s girlfriend...
