Chapter 13

On Trafalgar, Dr. Gilmore discovers that the possessed can be detected by looking for a certain charge of static electricity. Samual Alekandrovich tells Gilmore that they must discover a way to force a possessed out of a body on the spot.

Quinn Dexter, having converted the Tantu's crew to possessed, arrives early. His entry into the system is thwarted by the Sol security's insistence on a security passcode. Tantu is forced to flee the system and Dexter punishes the possessed who is in control of the body of the Tantu's captain. The newly arrived possessed insists that the captain tricked him and without the information about the security codes, but Dexter is unforgiving, and after he forces the possessed to vacate the body, begins torturing the captain.
