Summary

In Part 4, Chapter 20, Molly stays down in the basement and listens to Moll and the kids eat dinner. Molly becomes restless and goes for a walk outside. In Chapter 21, Molly returns to the house and looks through the window. She sees Moll lying on the floor, apparently tired. Viv holds Moll’s head and strokes her hair. In Chapter 22, After Moll puts Viv and Ben to bed, Molly helps Moll clean up the house. Moll appears to be very tired and sedate. In Chapter 23, Moll leaves the room, and Viv wakes up. She says she is scared and needs to use the bathroom, so Molly accompanies her. In Chapter 24, Molly puts Viv back to bed. She suddenly feels a sense of pity towards Moll.
