Daneel told Elijah more than once in the story that he felt that Gladia Delmarre was trying to dissuade him from looking at her as if she was a suspect. In what ways did Gladia show she was innocent? In what ways did she appear guilty? Could Elijah have been wrong about Gladia?

Elijah said he would not let his feelings interfere in the murder investigation. Are a human's feelings completely improper in such situations at all times? How would the investigation gone differently if Daneel had conducted the interview alone?
