Summary

In the section “Stands and Falls,” S.Q. interrupted Mr. Curtain just as Sticky had given up resisting the Whisperer. S.Q. told Mr. Curtain that two students were trying to break into the tower. After sending S.Q. away to take care of the problem, Mr. Curtain told Sticky he was not happy with his session. He decided it was time for Reynie to take over. As Reynie waited for Mr. Curtain to finish his juice, he argued with himself about his thoughts about the Whisperer. When the session began, the machine asked what Reynie feared most.
