Summary
Archie and his solicitor, William Perkins, pay a visit to Scotland Yard in “Chapter 20: Day three after the investigation.” Archie asks Commander Reynolds whether Scotland Yard can take on his wife’s case instead of the two local police departments. Archie complains that the police are giving the newspapers too much information. Commander Reynolds tells him that Scotland Yard cannot interfere, annoying Archie.
Agatha gives birth to Rosalind in “Chapter 21: The Manuscript.” She is still determined to prioritize Archie over her daughter. She finds them a new, bigger flat and a nurse for Rosalind. Out of the blue, she receives a letter from the publishing company Bodley Head. She meets with a publisher, Mr. Lane, who offers her a contract to sell The Mysterious Affair at Styles.
