Summary
In “Scouting,” Harry mulled about his uncle’s trailer and decided “he needed to get his shit together” (123). He accepted personal responsibility for his place in life. In his email, he found a response from Alice about his job application, and saw a lot of missed messages from his mother. He went to visit Uncle H in the hospital and recalled all that he had to be thankful about. He biked to his interview with Alice and arrived just in time to see her drop a swarming hive onto Jake’s lap.
In “Disruption,” Harry was very nervous at his informal job interview with Alice. His suggestion to make hive entrances at the top of the boxes to reduce maintenance made her realize that Harry was hiding a lot of talents behind his quiet façade. Alice was warming up to the idea...
