The group walks to the nearest city, (Bird Whistle). Charlie commandeers a truck as her right as a Mediator. On the drive, Gavin points out that they are twice doomed thanks to too much information about Empire technology and now Motie history. Although it seems unlikely, they are also committed to getting a warning out to the Lenin if there is any way possible. The truck stops; the group moves to an airplane thanks to Charlie's agreement with the Master who owns the plane.
