Part 3, Meet Crazy Eddie: Chapter 33, Planetfall Summary

The three midshipmen are in crazily altered lifeboats and crash on the planet in an open, farming area. From their different landing sites, each of the men sees a large building, and they agree to meet there. Whitbred gets very close to the building in his pod, Potter walks a bit, and Staley is much more distant. No one is able to make contact with Lenin. Potter gets to the building and figures out the combination lock. He and Whitbread enter the building.
