Part 2, The Crazy Eddie Point: Chapter 25, The Captain's Motie Summary

The Moties invite MacArthur to move into orbit around their main planet so humans can visit the planet. The Admiral agrees with the understanding that if something goes wrong he will destroy the MacArthur and leave. Each of the Moties studying a human has developed a phenomenal ability to mimic that human, to the extent that individual humans are constantly checking to see who they are talking to.

All the assigned Moties are Mediators who return to the embassy ship and the Master who commands them. Although the Master is a secret, Admiral Kutuzov has figured it out. The Mediators are directed to find out about procreation without revealing how important it is to get this information.
