Sally finds subtle differences between the Browns and the larger, brown and white furred Moties. They have excellent memories, a great willingness to work, and a phenomenonal vocal range.
Dr. Horvath uses his discretion to invite the Moties onto the cutter. The tool room becomes a topic of conversation once more. The scientists can tell the Moties are very interested in their reactions to the room.
