Summary
Chapter 15, Willie calls Clarissa on the phone to try to persuade her to return to her prescribed medical treatment. Clarissa angrily tells Willie to leave her alone. Willie speaks to Vivienne and talks about her progress on the research. Vivienne refuses to simply tell Willie who her father is, as it would be less meaningful that way. Vivienne then recalls some relevant documents in storage, which she gives to Willie. Willie tells Vivienne the current situation regarding Clarissa. Vivienne calls Clarissa and persuades her to return to the prescribed medical treatment.
In Chapter 16, Willie reads the documents Vivienne gave to her. They are a collection of letters compiled by Vivienne’s father. The letters were written by Cinnamon Averell (granddaughter of Hetty Averell) and a Charlotte Temple (granddaughter of Marmaduke Temple).
