Peter Usher
Usher is an artist that the Belgrave Art Gallery took over after the previous gallery that handled his works went broke. Usher breaks with Belgrave and can't find another gallery to handle his work. He teaches art on a part-time basis and that his is only source of income. He is irate about the fact that artists receive nothing while they are alive. The art dealers are the ones that make the money that should go to the artist. Usher is recognized in Paris by the detective, Lipsey, on the street where the old man lives above the fish market.
