Summary

In Chapter 9, Mile City held its annual Bucking Horse Sale, or BHS. Cameron, Jamie, Coley, and Brett attended the festival, after pregaming on beer and pot at Jamie’s house. Coley’s brother Ty encouraged them not to drink. Cameron and Jamie had continued to kiss since prom, but Cameron did not view their relationship as real. They argued when Cameron did not enjoy making out with Jamie. Coley had been nominated as queen of BHS, but did not win. Later, Ruth found Cameron and told her that she saw Jamie fooling around with another girl. Cameron returned to Coley’s house with Coley. They drank Ty’s alcohol. Coley asked Cameron about Irene.
