Summary

Chapter 6: "A Very Dark and Twisted Tale" starts with a dark picture with four sets of eyes. Everything goes silent, including the phone, and Max rushes to use his inhaler before he passes out. He grabs a flashlight, and another picture shows him finding the vent while the burglars try to turn on the lights. They all end up attacking each other (which Max draws as another picture) as Max gets into the vent. He calls Erin a life saver, knowing that she turned off the lights. However, he says they need a plan to get rid of the burglars and get his dad’s collectors comic book out of the computer lab. He then ends the chapter with a picture of himself leaving as the burglars yell at the vent.
