Summary
In Chapter 9, Max finally returned the narrative to the inside of the locker. He banged on the door, and a girl walking by heard it and stopped. It happened to be Erin Madison, who Max had a crush on.
Max then told the reader a few earlier encounters with Erin. All of them ended in embarrassment. For example, after she complimented him on his drawing, he tripped over the trash can, banged his knee and split his pants. Shortly after that, she asked how his knee was, and Thug chose that moment to knock his papers to the floor and then try to flirt with Erin.
When she looked at the drawings, she saw that one of them was a drawing of her. As Max wrote, “And of course I didn’t want her to (know) think I was some SICKO...
