Summary
When Chapter 60 begins, Curtis wakes up in a hospital room and starts to piece together what brought him here. He realizes that he most likely broke his right wrist, collarbone, and both hips. He is on several heavy drugs that cloud his judgment. A cop sitting next to him asks him his name. Curtis confirms it. The cop says that LVMPD wants to file serious charges against him, but he wants to talk to Curtis first. He says there is a bigger picture that not everyone has seen yet, and Curtis says, “You got that right” (564). Curtis is in a lot of pain. He says that he wants to talk to his wife.
