Summary
Bull, Lucy, and Edward travel various places with no set direction in Chapter 13. Bull is careful to make sure that Edward is comfortable in his bedroll when he walks. At night, they sleep under the stars and sometimes Lucy curls up beside Edward to sleep. As Bull and Lucy sleep, Edward watches the stars and recognizes the constellations. Next, he thinks about the people that have come in and out of his life until it is morning. Sometimes Bull meets up with other hobos and Bull tells stories and sings songs around their campfires. One night, Bull tells Edward that he does not think Edward should be wearing a dress. Bull makes Edward an outfit from his own clothes and tells Edward that this look suits him much better.
