Part Two, The Sixth Estate, Chapters 40-49 Summary
It was Parker's day off six months ago when he heard the call on his brother. A body had been found in the Edmonds Hotel in the Bowery, naked in the bathtub of one of the rooms, clearly an overdose. Parker saw his brother's body, bruised and broken, and knew immediately that he had been murdered. However, everyone else believed he died of a drug overdose. Now Parker is waiting to meet with his two partners to discuss the next hit, the most important one of all. Parker meets up with these men but still finds himself questioning the morality of what he is doing.
