Part One, The Grave Dancer, Chapters 23-32 Summary
Sarah takes her son to the airport in order to release him in to his father's custody for his court ordered visitation. Sarah is devastated to watch the boy go because he is what she has built her world around the last few years and she will miss him. Sarah also realizes just how lonely she is when she begins to cry in the arms of a stranger. Afterward, Sarah goes to One Police Plaza to watch more tapes with Stef, but instead talks him into having lunch with her. Over lunch, Sarah finds herself practically interrogating Stef, asking personal questions about his wife until he is so uncomfortable Sarah finds herself apologizing for her forwardness.
