Kelly hadn't lost her hair yet but her oncologist assured her she would. Kelly met with Susan, a psychologist, to learn the best ways to deal with her children during her illness. So the girls wouldn't be startled at her impending baldness, Kelly had a friend shave her hair right in front of the girls who actually had fun during the event. Privately Kelly was honest with herself. She didn't relish her baldness although Edward told her she looked beautiful. A few days later, she decided to take her "new look" out and take the girls to school. She picked up a neighbor's little boy who attended the same school. When he got in the car, he told her she looked like a monster. That comment destroyed her. Later she called Edward, crying and wailing about...
