Summary
Chapter Sixty-One
The driver was speeding and driving recklessly. Through the heavy rain they could see lights and buildings. At one point people with ratty clothes and riddled with body sores rushed the bus. They resembled the woman who had attacked him. The bus driver ignored these people who were pounding on the side of the bus. A woman rescuer who was sitting nearby told Thomas and Teresa that they would get all their memories back after awhile. She and the other rescuers were not scientists and weren’t sure what exactly had been done to them.
It all started with sun flares that were exceptionally massive. Their heat was felt on the earth. Satellites were destroyed and people died by the thousands at once and by the millions soon after. The Flare left wastelands and disease in its wake. It became...
