Summary
The next day, due to the ice in the basement, the interior of Coulson’s house is quite cold. Mrs. Widdup speaks with him, and she asks him what he was about to say yesterday, before they were interrupted by Constantia. However, Coulson is then quite harsh when he speaks to Widdup. He complains about the cold in the house, and he says that Widdup is an annoying slacker.
The next day, it is warm again in the house. Widdup goes to Coulson and says that she found ice in the basement, which she then removed. Coulson, now once again intoxicated by the warmth of spring, begins to declare his love to Widdup.
