Summary
Chapter 7 is titled “The Four Winds.” They continue to travel and find an abandoned resort called Four Winds Resort. The property is surrounded by a fence and they consider it could be electrified. Miig is about to touch it but French grabs it first. French feels that Miig is more important to the survival of the group, and Miig realizes that. A few minutes later, he tells French that “No one is more important than anyone else” (Location 746). French responds by trying to make it seem unimportant, but Miig forces him to face the fact. French feels the sting of Miig's reproach until Rose touches his hand. French and the others are amazed by the resort, which is elaborate.
