Summary
In Chapter 30, Detective Johnson tells Iris they have questions for her when she is ready. Evan asks that he be allowed some time alone with Iris to help her compose herself. The detective allows them ten minutes. In the privacy of Evan’s car Iris tells Evan everything that has happened. She swears that she talked to Will on the phone and that he was the one who shot Corban. He reminds her that if she tells the police that it was Will who shot Corban that he will be charged with murder. As Iris thinks about what Evan is telling her she realizes there is no way for Will to come home and for them to start their relationship over like nothing happened.
