Summary

In Chapter 24, Iris looks out the window to see Corban mowing her yard. She runs outside without thinking, causing the alarm to sound. After silencing the alarm and talking to the alarm company, Iris takes Corban a beer. She asks him why he thinks Will never told her about him. Corban says he is sure Will had a good reason but does not seem to know what that might have been. He does say that he feels as if maybe he was a friend to Will because he never asked what was wrong or if anything was bothering him even though it was clear Will was upset.
