Summary

In Chapter 12, when Iris and Dave arrive in Seattle, Dave asks Iris if she is sure she wants to continue her investigation since what they find might sully Will’s reputation. Iris assures Dave she is already assuming that what they discover about Will will be bad since he had kept it hidden.

As Dave drives them away from the airport, Iris calls human resources at the company with which Will had the job interview. Iris explains her situation but the woman to whom she speaks says that she is not able to give Iris any information about job candidates. She does tell Iris that before she talked to Iris on the phone she had never heard of William Griffith.
