Summary

Chapter 3

The forum is converted into a great hall for the feast. Annabeth is happy to be with Percy, but also a little hurt that he seems to consider New Rome his home and not Camp Half-Blood. Jason shares his experiences at Camp Half-Blood with Camp Jupiter, both in an attempt to make Camp Half-Blood out to be good as potential allies, but also to warn them that the evil goddess, Gaea, is about to wake up and use monsters from Tartarus and the Giants to destroy the gods. Percy relates his own story, about fighting the giant Alcyoneus and repelling an attack by his army of giants against New Rome.
