Summary

Chapter 6 takes place in East Berlin. Walter Muller met Saul at the train station. They agreed to walk together to Walter’s mother’s apartment, where Saul would be staying. Walter noticed that Saul was limping which prompted Saul to tell him about the accident on Abbey Road. He told Walter that the accident had become linked in his mind to the death of his mother, who was killed by a car. Saul began to cry. They stopped at an apartment building and Saul waited outside while Walter went inside. Walter returned with a toy train and told Saul that he needed to fix it. The sight of the train distressed Saul, but the reason for this is not revealed.
