Mariana Andros

Mariana is Zoe's aunt and her guardian since Mariana's sister's death. Her mother died when Mariana was an infant, and her father was distant toward Mariana, leaving her longing for love and affection. She had one sister, and they were not close. The lack of love in her early life made Mariana desperate for love, which could be part of the reason she quickly fell in love with Sebastian.

Mariana has been deeply grieving for more than a year since Sebastian's death. She cannot imagine her life without him, though she is also battling her anger that he would be so careless with his life and leave her to cope with that grief. She is a skilled psychologist, specializing in group therapy, but she ends her practice after she discovers Sebastian and Zoe betrayed her.
