Perspective
This book is written from the perspective of a well-respected and accomplished biological scientist. Richard Dawkins is the author of many books of similar nature to this one, and his arguments range in complexity, but are always presented in a compelling fashion. The author believes that science is a powerful tool for understanding and for changing the world in which we live, and through his many presentations of the various creation myths, believes that these stories offer little to us in terms of understanding the truth about the nature of the universe. That being said, it is reasonable to suggest that the author is heavily biased in terms of his beliefs in the strength of science versus the weaknesses of myths, and does, in fact, appear to poke fun at many of these myths often.
