Chapters 17 through 20 Summary

In Chapter Seventeen, Laurel drives Emma to Charlotte's for a sleepover. There's a security gate at the entrance to the property. Charlotte, Laurel, Emma, Madeline and two other friends, Gabby and Lili, are there. Gabby expresses her displeasure that she and Lili are sometimes the brunt of the jokes from the Lying Game but that Sutton and the others have decreed the membership be limited to the four and refuse to let them in. They play a drinking game and Emma learns more about Sutton. From what she learns, Emma comes to realize it's possible Sutton has set up this entire situation as a prank, part of the Lying Game.
