Admitting You Have a Problem, Chapters 7-9 Summary

In Chapter Seven, a truck driver named Al sits in his fuel truck while the truck is pumping fuel into the Texaco's underground tanks. While the sea beast tries to mate with the truck, the truck explodes, killing Al, and sending the sea beast flying. The sea beast retreats to water. Molly, the actress, dumps one pill of her medication down the garbage disposal before she goes outside to practice her Kendra sword routine in the middle of the night. She sees the explosion and later hears something moving in the creek bed. She rushes inside to hide. Theo wakes from the sound of the explosion and gets a phone call about the explosion.
