Summary

The main character, Rukhsana, narrates the novel in the past-tense. In “Chapter One,” Rukhsana got ready to go to a party. She put on tight jeans and a crop top. Her parents’ had strict rules and she was not allowed to wear shorts, go to parties, or date boys.
