Summary
In Chapter 108, Langdon felt as if he were "pure consciousness."
In Chapter 109, Simkins and his crew in the CIA helicopter landed at the house on Kalorama Heights. They saw Agent Hartmann in the floor of the foyer and began a full search of the home. When they found the strangled security guard Simkins realized that Katherine and Langdon had walked into a trap. There were no other bodies found in the rest of the house.
Sato and Bellamy arrived. Simkins noticed Bellamy still looked shell shocked from whatever Sato had shown him. Inside the house, Sato was upset when she discovered that Mal’akh had taken his laptop computer with him. She insinuated to Simkins that Mal’akh had information that no one needed to see.
Although Katherine had heard the helicopter land, there was no way she could signal for help. Meanwhile...
