Chapters 9-12, Piper and Leo Summary
Piper dreams about a perfect day she spent with her father on the beach, before her dad's assistant Jane arrived and shattered the happy day by telling him that Piper stole a car. Piper tries to explain that she didn't steal it but just persuaded the dealer to give it to her, but her father is upset. He sends her to a special boarding school in Nevada. Piper's dream shifts to a mountain where her father is tied to a stake. A giant tells her that if she goes on the quest, does his bidding and betrays her friends, her father will live.
Piper wakes up in camp and Rachel tells her they revived her with nectar, the drink of the gods. Piper missed dinner, so she goes to the campfire where the demigods are...
