A Place to Call Home
Everyone needs a feeling of belonging. For many people, having a home fulfills that need. A home is a place of security where they feel welcome and can be themselves. There are several characters in this novel who have an illusion of an ideal home. Their expectations are built on stories they have heard and inner feelings they do not understand. Two of the three discover that their idea of what home should be is not what they actually find. Nevertheless, they keep looking to find a place of acceptance.
