Summary

In Chapter 3, Tsunami is surprised at how far they have to fly over empty ocean. She is annoyed that Starflight knows everything but privately admits that it is useful. They fly for days, stopping when they find an island. Starflight tends to make the rules, including that they sleep in caves instead of on the beach. Tsunami knows the others do not fully trust her because she attacked the SkyWing when she thought it saw Sunny. One morning, the others are still asleep and she swims into the ocean. She is disappointed that she struggles in the water. She had expected to be “stronger, faster, tougher – not pathetic” (41). She sees another SeaWing and watches him meet another dragon. SeaWings have glowing stripes and the two light up several times, then part ways. She catches up with the first SeaWing, later identified as RipTide...
