Summary

Part Two is title Out of the Hive. In Chapter 13, Blue gets a look at Wasp Hive and cannot imagine how they expect to get into this “Hive full of power and soldiers and secrets” (114). Swordtail has flown in a straight line from the Cicada Hive and Wasp Hive, meaning they are out in the open savanna as dawn approaches. Swordtail is still feeling the effects of the chemicals and wants to camouflage them as elephants. Instead, they find a crevasse and fly downward into it, eventually finding a cave that has a lake. They can hear dragons searching overhead and walk into the water, though it is completely dark here. They find a boat tied with a rope. Cricket is naturally curious about it but they have no idea of the significance. They advance into a tunnel and soon see the faint...
