Part 1: Chapters 7-10 Summary

InChapter 7, while resting for a few minutes in her rooms, Queen Genevieve is visited by the blue caterpillar, one of a race of psychics who serve only the Heart Crystal. The blue caterpillar shows Queen Genevieve a confusion of images that include her sister, Redd. When Hatter comes for Queen Genevieve a short time later, she tells him to inform the Millinery to prepare a defense.

In Chapter 8, the party moves into the South Dining Room for tea. Alyss and Dodge join the party, prompting Jack of Diamonds to take the opportunity to tell on Dodge. An argument ensues that is quickly ended when the kitten comes into the room and suddenly morphs into a large cat-like man. Seconds later, Redd bursts into the room with a group of her card soldiers and orders everyone beheaded.
