Summary

In Chapter 25, Ruth accompanied Reine-Marie to Toronto. When they met with Professor Massey, Reine-Marie was surprised by how kind Ruth was to him. The two seemed attracted to each other and Reine-Marie thought perhaps Ruth even had a crush on him.

When Reine-Marie asked Massey about Norman, Massey told her that Norman was insane. Instead of teaching art theory, he had taught the students his personal belief that there was a tenth muse. Norman thought that an artist had to find this tenth muse in order to be great. Massey said it was not because of Norman’s teaching or his perceived insanity that he had been fired but because of the Salon des Refusés.

Massey said he did not think Peter was looking for Norman and had not even brought his name up during their discussion. Reine-Marie asked for a picture...
