Summary

Chapter 6 is written from Matthew Venn’s third-person perspective. Matthew returns home. Jonathan puts down the book he is reading when he sees him. He asks Matthew if he wants something to eat or drink, but Matthew starts talking about the case. He fears that he is going to have to give the investigation to another member of the force because Jonathan manages the Woodyard. Simon was a volunteer at the Woodyard and Gaby has a residency there.
