Summary
In Chapter 11 Gavin lists things he no longer needs, including electricity. He knows his financial situation will find him without an apartment soon, but he’s making due with candles for now. He has received multiple letters from his landlord, but hasn’t opened them. He knows he’s on borrowed time at the apartment and never leaves without his favorite fedora. He calls Eilo from Starbucks and tells her that he’s lost his job. She doesn’t understand since everything seemed fine when she saw him four months earlier. He tells her he was fine then, but since learning about Chloe, his life has been in a tailspin. The newspaper is running an article about Gavin’s deception.
