Summary
Chapter Seven opens as Ruth and Robert board the boat to England and Ruth talks to all the neurologists she meets. Then, Ruth is shocked when Robert announces that she is attending the exhibition with him. Robert introduces her to Dr. Egas Moniz who developed a technique for imaging the brain. However, Ruth is appalled by Moniz's terse reaction, but Robert says he just wants the man's advice. Four days go by and Ruth says she wants to invite Dr. Fulton and Dr. Jacobsen for a guest lecture about their research into the frontal lobe. Ruth is glad Robert seems happy, even though his own presentation was eclipsed by Moniz's. Robert says he will not fight for an inferior method, and Ruth calls him remarkable.
