Summary

Chapter 3

In “Woolly,” Woolly was organizing Sarah's spice rack alphabetically when he was surprised by what he found in the bottom row of the rack. Billy, meanwhile, kept leaving Duchess, who was giving him a cooking lesson, to check the clock. Duchess had promised Billy that Emmett would arrive in time for dinner at 8 p.m.

In “Duchess,” to distract Billy from Emmett’s absence, Duchess put Billy to work setting the table with good china for their special dinner. He also taught him how to make Fettuccine Mio Amore. Duchess was pleased when the doorbell rang right at 8 p.m. announcing the arrival of Emmett.

In “Emmett,” Emmett woke with a terrible headache. As he was served breakfast, one of the women admitted that Duchess had instructed them to put a drug in his champagne. The ladies said that Duchess had asked...
