Summary

In Chapter 15, when Frank and Sam interviewed Naylor, he claimed he had gotten his injuries from a motorcycle wreck. He was refusing to say anything else. The police received a warrant to search his house and found things including a silver sugar bowl with an “M” monogrammed on it. Cassie knew the things had come from Whitethorn House. Sam argued Naylor stole the things from the house when he broke in, but Frank believed he bought the things from Lexie.

In the interview room, Sam told Naylor the story he had heard about the dead baby. Naylor called the story a “load of old shite” (275). He told Sam that the girl worked as a maid at Whitethorn House.
