Summary

Chapter 37 begins when Lucy gets an email from Gabe saying that he is in New York and would like to meet her for a drink. She is not convinced if it is a good idea to go but knows that she will anyway. She tells Darren about it and he is mildly insecure but only briefly as Lucy promises she will come to his apartment after she has met with Gabe. She changes her outfit four times trying to find the right style for the occasion and settles on a pencil skirt ensemble that makes her feel professional and confident. When Gabe arrives at the bar, they hug for a long time and all the memories come flooding back.

Lucy says that she does not even remember specifically what they talked about that night, only that she was completely drawn in by him...
