Summary

In Chapter 32, Lucy talks about how if you watch unmarried couples at weddings, you can tell which ones are truly happy with each other from the ones that are not. She has just received an invite to her brother, Jason’s wedding to Vanessa. She does not want to go alone for fear she might not be able to hold it together but going with Kate seems like it might make people pity her. Kate encourages her to invite Darren. Lucy is hesitant at first but once she does, Darren is delighted and excited. He shows Lucy that he was given a 50% off flyer for couples’ dance classes and she is very happy that he is so invested in it. She kisses and embraces him, and it feels right.
